HOLDS: the Library has the item I want but it isn’t available right now
A request to place an item on hold can be made in person at the library, by phone or e-mail, by logging in to your account, or using our app. You will be notified when the requested item is available. Items on hold will be kept for a limited time only.
If we do not have what you are looking for, ask us about ordering it from another library or make a suggestion for purchase.

With hoopla Magazines, patrons can read current issues of more than 50 popular periodicals. There are titles for all ages and interests, including such magazines as Elle, Golf Magazine, Popular Mechanics, Time for Kids, and many more. Each issue is designed specifically for digital use, so whether in the app or through a browser, it’s easy to swipe through and enjoy the articles and images just like you were holding the actual magazine. There’s even an option to easily listen to an audio version of each article.

Newspapers
The library carries current issues of local and regional newspapers: The Ottawa Citizen, The Chesterville Record, Le Reflet/The News and Le Droit. Previous issues of local papers are archived at the Russell Branch Library. Please consult branch staff to access that material.
Music
The library does not currently have a music collection but we may be able to borrow CDs from other libraries. Send us your requests using the online request form.
