Digital Prescott-Russell

Photo: Fairbanks Cheese Factory, Russell, ca. 1923

With the help of Our Ontario staff and funding from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports through the Southern Ontario Library Service (SOLS), Prescott-Russell public libraries initiated a project of digitizing items (photographs, postcards, texts, etc.) that illustrate the history of Prescott-Russell.

The first part of this digitization project included 19th century and early 20th century photos depicting the lives and traditions of the French speaking population of the region.

For the next phase of the project, the Library is partnering with the Russell Historical Society to digitize items from the Keith M. Boyd Museum collections.

We will not keep your photos, but will digitize and index them to make them available on the web
