Museum Family Passes
  • With your library card, you can borrow a family pass to visit museums in the National Capital Region.
  • Most family passes provide free admission for four people (maximum 2 adults).
  • The loan period is 1 week.
  • Passes cannot be reserved. You must visit your local branch to check which passes are available for loan.
  • Overdue fee: $2 / day.
  • No renewals on museum passes.
  • Passes can be used multiple times and at multiple locations, if applicable.
  • Replacement costs + administrative fees apply if the card is lost or stolen.

Ontario Parks Parking Passes

ONTARIO PARKS DAY-USE VEHICLE PERMITS

These permits allow free parking for one vehicle and its occupants to provincial parks in Ontario where fees are normally charged.
Before you go:
-Park capacity limits still apply.
-The permit doesn’t cover overnight stays.

iPads

Users 18 years and older are now able to borrow and bring home an Ipad for 3 weeks. You can use the iPad to connect with loved ones on Facetime, exchange emails, play games and even read books.

All you need to enjoy this service is a library card!
Users can borrow an iPad on a first come, first serve basis (no reservations).

All iPads come with a detailed user guide and resources like videos and tutorials to help you learn how to use the iPad if you are new to this technology. And as always, library staff will be here to help you.

Radon monitors

We are excited to announce a new lending program that aims to protect the health and safety of our community. The library is now offering a radon monitor lending program, allowing residents to borrow the item for free and test their homes. Patrons may now borrow a radon monitor with a loan period of 30 days. PLAY Touch Table

The 32″ interactive PLAY touch table allows users to engage in educational, multi-touch games, starting at age 3 to adult. It is a very collaborative and social experience 2-4 players can engage the table experience simultaneously.
Although this table is not for loan, it is located at our Russell Branch, in our children’s section and anyone can use it.
We have 13 games to choose from: Domino, Pong, Words, Shapes, Balloons, Planet, Air Hockey, Snap, Numbers, Curling, Puzzle, Sudoku, & Shuffle.

Merlin ultra

Thank you to Brian (Chico) Wellard who has donated the Merlin ultra in 2023.

Merlin ultra enables individuals with low vision to read, write, view photos, enjoy crafts and hobbies, and more. There are different display modes: color, black & white or contrast-enhanced, either positive or negative.

Merlin ultra also includes 3 different preset colour combinations for both text and background to provide improved viewing and reading. 

With easy-to-use buttons that are also distinguishable by touch, you can enlarge or reduce the image in seconds, change-viewing modes for easier visibility, and establish preset buttons to your favourite viewing image sizes.
