Winner of the library’s photo contest

RUSSELL (August 6 2024) 

From June 22nd to July 28th 2024, the Township of Russell Public Library invited amateur photographers to submit up to 3 of their best photographs of the Russell Township area.

Jean-Paul Deveau, a professional photographer, Sylvie Brault, a member of the Russell Photo Club and France Séguin-Couture, the CEO of the library formed the jury for the contest.

Isabelle Dumas’ photograph titled ʺIn the Moon lightʺ was chosen as the winner of the contest. The winning photo will be printed on the new library cards and Isabelle Dumas is also the recipient of $125 prize.

Phil Soubliere’s photograph titled ʺEarly morning moon over the Russell water towerʺ was awarded second place with a prize of $50.

Lisa Maidens’ photograph titled ʺLibrary Oasisʺ was awarded third place with a prize of $25.

There are also two honorable mentions to Brigitte Burelle’s photograph entitled ʺLove is in the airʺ and to Mark Hatherhall’s photograph entitled ʺMoody afternoon with a Great Blue Heronʺ.
