Calling all photographers:
the Library is looking for a photoGRAPH for its new library cards!
Submission deadline: Sunday, July 28 at 11:59 p.m.
We invite amateur photographers* to submit their best photographs of the Russell Township area. The winning photo will be printed on the library’s new cards.
The contest is open to amateur photographers of all ages who are members of the Township of Russell Public Library.
(Pssst! if you don’t have a library card, you can get one here, it’s free! )
An independent jury will review all submitted photographs and select 3 winners.
1st place: $125 prize and photograph printed on new library cards
2nd place: $50 prize
3rd place: $25 prize
Each participant will have at least one of their photos posted on the library’s website. You may submit up to 3 photos.
The photos submitted must have been taken in the Russell Township within the last year (July 2023 – July 2024).
The winners will be announced on August 6, 2024.
Photo release
By signing the entry form, the contest winner releases his or her publishing rights to the Township of Russell Public Library and grants the Library the right to reproduce the submitted photo.
The winner of the contest grants the Township of Russell Public Library permission to use the submitted photograph in any and all of its promotional materials and publications, including web-based publications, with credit and without payment.
The participant also releases the Library from any prosecution or damage that may occur as a result of the publication or reproduction of his or her photograph.
The Library photo contest is funded by a donation from JP Deveau.
*Amateur photographer: does not sell photographs and does not charge to take photographs.
