50 award winning books in 50 weeks
Guidelines:
- The Year-Long Reading Challenge begins on January 5 and ends on December 21, 2026.
- You must keep track of the titles you have read using this log and/or on Beanstack.
- We have provided a list of Literary Awards both in Canada and International and a list of award-winning books available at the library from some of those categories. You may also choose a book that has won an award that is not listed. Please make sure to indicate the full name of the literary award in your log.
- Each book read and logged is a ballot for our draw. (If you read and log 24 books, that’s 24 chances to win. If you read and log 50 books, that’s 50 chances to win.) No need for tickets. Once a book is logged, you’re in the draw!
- If you are not using Beanstack, you must provide this log to a staff member before December 21. It will be logged in Beanstack for you.
- If a book has won multiple awards, you can only use it in one literary award category.
- Books from home, audiobooks, and eBooks are eligible.
- Books at a Junior fiction level are acceptable, but no other books from the Children’s department. Magazines are not allowed.
- This challenge is open to adults and teens (13 years old and up).
- The prize draw of a $50 gift card (of your choice) will take place in January 2027.
