GET YOUR SUMMER READING ON !
Summer has arrived and the Township of Russell Public Library invites every child 6 years old and up to register for the coolest club this summer. Children are invited to come register in person at either branches of the library. We will give them a free reading kit which includes a notebook, stickers and a Web access code.
A special notebook has been produced so that kids with print disabilities can fully participate. Also, the library has partnered with CELA to make sure children have access to Summer Reading Club material in the format they need.

All summer long, kids will accumulate points with every book they read.
Once a kid has accumulated 10 points, his or her name is included in the weekly draw as well as in the end of summer draw of two GoPro Hero 7.
And that’s not all! The library staff will give out 5 stickers to stick on our collective mosaic for every book read.
Come register!
Launch party of the summer reading club is Saturday, June 22 from 11 am to 2 pm at both branches.
This year, the library invites you to a special launch party for the Summer Reading Club. There will be snacks and beverages and kids will be able to decorate a rock for our Kindness Garden. As well, everyone that registers on that day will receive a special gift.
The club runs from July 2 to August 23.

Studies show that kids who keep reading throughout the summer do better when they return to school in the fall. The TD Summer Reading Club is an ideal way to keep kids engaged !
