Every Wednesday from July 3 to August 21 at 10:30 AM – Families are invited to enjoy this drop-in story time all summer long. Storytime will be held outside (indoors in case of rain or extreme heat) at the Russell Branch (1053 Concession Street). Registration not required.

9AM-10AM: Join Mélissa on a fun morning hike down the conservation area across the street from the library. Meeting place: library parking lot.
10AM-11AM: It’s story time! With each book, a new adventure begins. Have fun participating in a book-themed activity. In partnership with Early On Child and Family Centre. For children 0-6 years old.

Summer Pen Pal Program
July 17 to August 7
Ages 6-12
Register before July 8
This summer, our Library has been paired with the Clarence-Rockland Public Library in Ontario. Register to be paired with a child similar in age from that library and we will send the letters on your behalf. There’s no need to write your address as the libraries will be the ones sending and receiving the letters. We will stick to first names only and will proofread the letters before sharing them. Letters must be written weekly, we will even supply you with writing prompts and materials. If you wish to continue communicating with your pen pal, the Library can no longer send the letters on your behalf and takes no responsibility afterwards. Ages 6-12.
How It Works:
-Please return your letter to the Library by Wednesday at 3 PM each week.
-We will forward a weekly package to our Sister Library.
-Pick up your letters at the Library (no specific date given due to uncertainty of Canada Post delivery)
-Have fun!
