Olympics Watch Parties at the Library

The excitement of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 is coming to the library! From February 9 to 22, the Library is inviting the community to come together and celebrate winter sports, Canadian pride, and community spirit with our Olympics Watch Parties.

Join us at either the Russell Branch or the Embrun Branch for these free, drop-in events open to all ages. Everyone is welcome to stop by and cheer on Team Canada!

To ensure accessibility for all, subtitles will be available at both locations.

🎧 How the Watch Parties Work

The broadcasts will be shown on mute to keep the library environment comfortable for all visitors. If you would like to listen to the commentary, feel free to bring your own Bluetooth headphones to connect to the laptop and follow along with the live coverage. Please note that we can connect only one Bluetooth device at a time.

♿ Paralympic Coverage

We are also excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of Paralympic athletes. A Paralympic watch schedule will be announced soon, so stay tuned for updates.

🍁These watch parties are presented in collaboration with CBC, bringing the spirit of the Games directly to our community. No registration is required—just drop in and enjoy the excitement of the Games with your library community!
