CONTEST RUNS FROM SEPTEMBER 26TH TO NOVEMBER 4TH, 2022
PRIZES
A cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the winner of each category. Winners will be announced November 10th, 2022.
Prizes are generously donated by the Friends of the Library.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Writers who go to school or reside in the Township of Russell may submit an original work for the Poetry Contest of the Township of Russell Public Library.
CATEGORIES
– Grade 7 to 9
– Grade 10 to 12
– Adults (18 years old and up)
Local authors and teachers will judge the entries on the basis of originality and style, general presentation, grammar, spelling and literary merit. Finalists, along with their teachers, friends and family, will be invited to the Poetry Night which will be held on Thursday, November 17th at 6:30 PM at the Russell Branch Library.
